Educator Workshop
Participants will experience the curriculum from the learner’s perspective while Doan Winkel and entrepreneur and former high school teacher Jamey Polak of John Carroll University offer real-time insights into the instructional design behind the scenes. It’s a unique chance to see why entrepreneurship lessons work, not just how.
Participants will gain ready-to-use curriculum resources and best practices to help build a program that empowers student success. We will cover the following topics (with intentional guidance on how AI can be used in each one).

- Identify Passion & Purpose: Help students find and channel their unique motivations into entrepreneurial ideas.
- Build a Personal Brand: Learn simple, proven steps to help create their personal brand.
- Spot & Evaluate Ideas: Master techniques for idea generation and evaluation, increasing the chances of a successful side hustle.
- Solve Customer Problems: Teach problem-solving frameworks that help students empathize with their customers and create solutions that customers actually want.
- Business Modeling & Market Research: Master practical tools to transform initial concepts into actionable business models through market research.
- Financial Modeling: Simplify the numbers behind entrepreneurship so you can help students build viable, sustainable ventures.
- Leveraging AI for Launch & Scale: Discover how cutting-edge technology can kickstart side hustles and accelerate growth on a limited budget.
*Cost for this workshop is $500 and all funds go into a micro-grant fund for participants’ student entrepreneurs.
