LAB Week 2024
Summer Week-Long Event
Students of LAB Week 2024 will earn three college credits for their participation in the program. Learning About Business and Lake Erie College have partnered to offer credit for LEC's Fundamentals of Enterprise as transferable credits to any college or university. Students who successfully complete LAB Week are also eligible for a $4,000 scholarship if they decide to attend Lake Erie College for post-secondary education.
Learning About Business is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing high school students a clearer understanding of the free enterprise system while encouraging them to pursue careers in business in Northeast Ohio.
Areas of Focus:
Team Building, Critical Thinking and Leadership Development.
- A week-long mini-MBA experience for high school sophomores, juniors and seniors.
- A hands-on curriculum with presentations from area business professionals.
- An interactive online business simulation developing and running a drone manufacturing and sales company.
- A chance to develop skills in leadership and teamwork.
- Exposure to area businesses and executives from both large corporations and small entrepreneurial firms.

There is a $350 fee to participate in LAB Week. This includes room, meals and materials for the week. No student is turned away for financial reasons – there are need-based scholarships available. Merit scholarships will also be made available. A separate form will be sent to students once their application to the program has been approved.
