There has never been a more critical time to practice what is commonly referred to as “soft skills”. Often these are referred to as human skills. Soft skills are what differentiates humans from robots and are essential in personal and professional development from a young age.

The Skill Building Workshop Day will provide students the opportunity to learn a variety of skill sets that contribute to an entrepreneurial mindset. Join us for this interactive, engaging, and experiential learning opportunity for students.

We have partnered with successful community professionals and experts who will provide customized workshops designed to provide key entrepreneurial learnings.

Students will have the opportunity to enhance skill sets in multiple areas of entrepreneurship.

Sessions have been purposefully selected to achieve the outcome of strengthening skill sets specific to today’s entrepreneurial landscape.

Program Outline:

Four entrepreneurial organizations will set up skill-building sessions to train student groups in meaningful ways.

Each organization will provide interactive and informative presentations for student groups.

Areas of Focus:

Skills: Design Skills, Leadership and Collaboration, Business Model Canvas and Public Speaking.

Experiences: Networking with community experts and professionals, visiting Cleveland State University, and networking with students from other schools.
